Happy Veterans Day!

I figured after reading through my RSS feeds that this particular article was appropriate today. I would like to start off by saying that today is a holiday I hold very dear in my heart. My husband spent the last 5 years of life fighting for this country in 4 deployments overseas. I have a lot of respect for the men and women who continue to fight for this country everyday. I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to experience the military life and although while I was in NC I didn't really appreciate I know see that the experience has made me a better person. Saying goodbye was never easy, but he did what he had to do and I was lucky enough to have him back after each heart wrenching deployment. The family ofTyler J. Trahan weren't as lucky. He was KIA on April 30, 2009. The article was about a gymnasium being dedicated to this young hero and it really touched my heart. I can't imagine hoe that family must have felt when that car drove up with such horrible news. My husband has lost a lot of friends to this war and I've seen the pain in his face, but I can't imagine losing a child or my brother or my husband. The military briefs you on this situation but they can never fully prepare you. Although I don't have to say goodbye to him anymore we still have tons of friends that are overseas as we speak. God Bless the veterans of our country.

The Hills

Dumbest show in the universe. I swear do these people even realize how dumb they appear on TV? Staged or not these people are idiots. On people.com there was a feed about Brody going out for drinks with Kristin (who is a huge bitch) and his girlfriend Jayde sees them together. Of course Kristin the bitch has to get involved because that's what she does and apparently there will be a push.... really. I just wasted my time reading this. I can't believe this crap is still on TV it should have gone off the air when LC left.

Ft. Hood

I must say I know I'm not the only one who was horrified at the shooting at Ft. Hood. It is crazy to think our military can't even feel safe in America on their own base. I know from experience, having lived at camp Lejeune NC a Marine Corps base that you really feel protected when you're on the base like no bad people can get on the base. Its sad to think that these bad people could not only be on the base but in charge of other people. The shooting was extremely selfish, you don't want to deploy so you kill people?? Really? That isn't how you solve problems, if this guy would have just spoke out about his fears there's a really good chance he would have never been deployed anyways. The article on people.com talked about Sgt. Kimberly Munley who had a hand in apprehending the gunman. At least there are some good people out there that really care and will risk their lives for our country. Honestly where would we be without these men and women?

Rihanna and Chris Brown

Really Chris Brown??? Honestly? You are dumb. You punched Rihanna and now you're made she's talking about it? Yeah ok. You are a woman beater that means you have no right to tell people what should and shouldn't be done. If you didn't want her to talk you probably shouldn't have punched her repeatedly. Idiot. He is serious though and that is the funniest part. He thinks she should have kept it a private matter. Yeah news flash Chris, it hasn't been private since it happened. All he ever has to say is he's sorry he was wrong. Yeah no shit you were wrong. Pathetic. I wish Rihanna would just keep telling everyone about Chris Brown it would be way funnier that way.

Day 1

So I have never blogged before this is all new to me but it seems pretty simple. So I was reading on my People.com RSS feed and I saw an article about John Mayer tweeting about Britney Spears lip-syncing. First of all I can't stand John Mayer and I don't understand why it matters to him if Britney lip-syncs or not. John Mayer is like a huge pot head and sings songs about smoking weed. Loser. I must say I am a Britney fan because she puts on one hell of a show. I went to her Circus show in Boston this past August and it was absolutely amazing. Was she lip-syncing? Most of the time yes. But I would much rather see a good show than watch someone stand in the same spot for three hours so they can sound better. Britney is much more of a performer than a singer and I'm pretty sure everyone knows she lip-syncs this certainly isn't breaking news. Really Australia, get over it. Clearly you aren't a Britney fan is you can't respect her ability to lip-sync hahaha.
